Let me tell you a little about myself! I am a Stratford graduate myself, having gone through this same elementary school! I graduated from Stratford High School in 2006 and from Winona State University in Winona, MN with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in coaching in 2011. This is my 9th year teaching at Stratford Elementary, with my first 6 years being in Kindergarten, 1 year in 3rd, and now my 2nd in 4th grade. I’m sure some of the faces in my class this year will look mighty familiar! I love Stratford because I really enjoy the kids, the staff, and the chance to learn together.
I live just outside Stratford near the Eau Plaine Flowage with my wife, Brooke, who is also your child’s P.E. teacher here at Stratford Elementary. We also have a CRAZY little feline, Jordi, who keeps us on our toes at home. She is such a joy to have around and provides lots of stories to tell! We also have a 2 year old daughter, Karter, and baby boy, Elliott, who was born in June. Karter is playful and always smiling! She brings a smile to our faces on the worst of days! Elliott is becoming much more aware of eveything as he gets older. He is a cherry little guy who is looking forward to playing football for the Tigers!
I play softball in the summers and basketball in the winters to stay active and still have that sense of competitiveness. I also enjoy reading, running, biking, hiking, kayaking, and hunting. I just love to be outside when the weather is beautiful! I have traveled to many places overseas and have also traveled to many places in the United States with my favorite being Alaska! I am also an avid sports fan! I absolutely love the Packers and Badgers during the fall. I also am a big Arizona Wildcat basketball fan as well as a Brewer fan in the spring.
