• The purpose of Stratford Elementary's schoolwide ROARS program, which is about positive behavioral interventions and support programs, is to establish and maintain safe and effective school environments that maximize academic achievement and the social competence of all students. ROARS stands for: showing respect, taking ownership of actions, having a good attitude, taking responsibility, and paying attention to safety. Expectations  for the different areas of the school are taught in a positive way- what is expected to happen in that space. Students are able to earn ROARS tickets for following those expectations around the school. Tickets are entered in a weekly drawing where students win prizes for themselves or even their whole classroom!

    Students are encouraged to follow these ROARS expectations at home too!
